Hi I'm Diane,

I was born in Hawaii. I am a grandmother, a nurse, and a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

Hi, my name is Diane, Also known as Penny, I was born in Hawaii, I am a nurse and a mom and a grandma and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I studied various philosophies and religions to discover what laws governed our happiness. All the beauty of native Hawaiian plants were governed by laws of botany. Surely there were principles to follow for mankind. Our new neighbors were Mormons and went to church every Sunday, I was impressed with their closeness as a family, and their dedication to their faith. When I found a copy of the Book of Mormon I read it and discovered it to be a translation of scripture, a companion to the Bible in testifying that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And that he taught the Gospel to Ancient Americans following his crucifixion. This ancient record confirmed we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father, and he has given us this promise: "Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things,.... that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." I learned for myself that Jesus Christ lives, and he has restored his Church to the earth. I was baptized and felt a joy that I had never known before. For over forty years of studying and living the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have come to know these teaching are true, they have blessed my life and the lives of all of my family.

How I live my faith

My faith in Jesus Christ strengthens me as I help my husband receiving chemotherapy for multiple myeloma. We have a blended family of ten children, and the Gospel strengthens and unites us. Personally studying from the Book of Mormon and Bible I have greater understanding of the prophesies relating to our day, and teachings to live with peace and joy amid challenges around us.
