Hi I'm Manuel

I am an open heart nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of triplets. I work as a nurse in a busy operating room where I help with open heart surgeries. I fix computers as a hobby and enjoy playing hockey and running. One of my favorite activities is playing drums in a local band. I have been happily married for 14 years.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I first read the Book of Mormon cover to cover when I was nineteen years old. When I finished reading it, I knelt and prayed to God to know if it was true. I felt a warmth come over my body and knew immediately that the Book of Mormon was true and that the writings it contains are inspired words from God. Since then, I have always done my best to follow the gospel because it brings me happiness and helps me to be a better husband and father than I could be without it.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Sunday School. I love this calling because I love to teach the gospel. I love to hear others share in the discussions in classes and get new perspectives.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

One way to increase our faith in Jesus Christ is to learn about him. This can be done by reading about his life and ministry in the New Testament, his visit to the American continent in the Book of Mormon, or the prophecies of his coming in the Old Testament. As we read the scriptures and study them, and try to learn about Jesus, we give the Holy Ghost the opportunity to come into our hearts and testify to us of Him and His gospel. Show more Show less
