Hi I'm Edna

I love to teach!

About Me

I love to work on puzzles of all kinds. 40 years ago, my husband gave me a jigsaw puzzle for our first anniversary. As a joke, he wrapped the cover so that I could not see the picture. Putting together the pieces was almost impossible. I have realized that life is like that puzzle. We have all these pieces and we're trying to make something positive out of them. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us the picture so that we know how all the pieces fit together.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because 1.some loving friends shared their religion with me, 2. I studied, prayed and fasted to know the truth and 3. the Holy Ghost bore witness to me that the things I had heard and read were true. I am still a Mormon for 42 years now because I continue to study, pray and fast and live the teachings. The best way to know if something is true is to put it to the test. Keep the commandments and you will be blessed for doing so and then you will know that the commandments are good. My life is so full of joy because I have the gospel of Jesus Christ as a pattern to follow. I have struggles and frustrations like others but I know Who is in charge and I know that He is mindful of me. I trust His wisdom. He knows so much better than I do. I try to follow His word and trust in His promises.

How I live my faith

I love attending church; it is the highlight of my week. I serve in the women's group and work with wonderful women who inspire me. Occasionally I have the opportunity to teach a lesson on Sunday. This is something I dearly love to do. I also lead the music in our meetings. I love the hymns and the privilege of raising my voice in song to my Heavenly Father. I also have the opportunity to visit teach 3 friends each month. Through these visits, we have become close friends and share many experiences together. I also serve in the temple each week. It is a joy to me to leave the world outside and feel the joy and peace of being in the House of the Lord each week.
