Hi I'm Randy

I grew up on a cattle ranch. I'm now a practicing dentist. I have been a dentist for 30+ years...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five children. My wife and I have been married 40 years. We have eleven grandchildren. I live on a small property where I raise feeder pigs, hens for eggs and there are two cats running around the place. In the summer I grow a garden. I have installed a small greenhouse to extend the short growing season. I grow a variety of vegetables and I am learning how to save seeds. I also enjoy woodworking—I have built cabinets for bathrooms and the kitchen, built-in bookcases, bedrooms sets, toy chests, benches, tables, storage cabinets and shop furniture. I am in the planning stage of building an HOn3 model railroad layout to share with my grandchildren. My professional career is dentistry. I now work in a practice with another dentist. We employ 14 to assist our work. It has been a blessing to provide for others what they are not able to provide for themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Church has shown me how to come to Jesus Christ. I have grown closer to Him through His Church and the scriptures — particularly restoration scriptures — than in any other way of which I know. When I was young, I heard my parents and others declare their witness of Christ. I too wanted to have this spiritual witness, and Heavenly Father has been kind in sending the Holy Ghost to testify to my spirit that Jesus is my Savior and Redeemer. I continue to follow the restored gospel of Jesus Christ because of the love, joy, peace and goodness that comes into my life from living its doctrines and principles. I know that Jesus lives. I know He has restored His Church to the earth. I know that there are prophets and apostles who walk the earth today, just as they did when He organized His Church in the meridian of time. There is no other organization that can give me this glory and grace.

How I live my faith

I have been an active participant in the Church since I was a youth. I have served in teaching and leadership positions. I have served for two years as a full-time missionary in Chile. I have been in service doing the will of Heavenly Father from my heart, knowing that whatsoever good I do, shall be received of Jesus Christ to His name's glory. My hope is that if I have done any good for others, they too can come to know the goodness of Jesus.
