Hi I'm Paula

I live in Idaho and am a homeschooling mother of three. I'm a Mormon and it's the very best part of my amazing life!

About Me

I'm married to an amazing husband and have three beautiful children. We love spending time together and have ample opportunity to do so. My husband works out of our home and I started homeschooling last year, so we see each other constantly! It's a blessing to have so many quality moments with my husband and my children. I am a graduate of Brigham Young University, Provo, with degrees in Psychology and Youth Leadership. I'm passionate about leadership and have worked with the Utah Chapter of the Hugh O Brian Youth Leadership program for almost two decades now. I love visiting with friends (and strangers!), sports, reading, gardening, and learning anything new.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ’s restored church on the earth today. I know this because I have prayed and received my own witness of this truth. I am thankful for the words of the prophets and for good parents and teachers who have taught me throughout my life, but I am also thankful that I am not required to simply accept the words of another as truth. Christ has promised each of us, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7). I know that Joseph Smith experimented with this very truth and that the heavens were opened to him. I have not seen God the Father and Jesus Christ like Joseph did, but I have received a witness for myself that this event happened. I know whatever questions I have in life, I can bring them before the Lord and He will send me answers in His way and time!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each day by following the example of Jesus Christ, who "went about doing good" (Acts10:38). I have found that as I center my life on Jesus Christ by daily studying his word and communicating with Him through prayer that Christ gives me the strength and power to do all of the things that are required of me (Philippinas 4:13). I believe that the people that surround me are the individuals that God has given me to serve at this point in my life and that as I listen to His Holy Spirit, I will be guided to say and do the things each day that can help others feel Christ’s love through me. I owe everything in my life to Jesus Christ and His goodness, so it is a privilege to serve Him through serving others.
