Hi I'm Joanne

I'm a wife, Mom, Grandmother and Great-grandmother! I am also a corporate officer, RN, friend. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of five children, grandmother to 23 and GREAT-grandmother to one! I love to read. A regular day for me consists of helping getting my grandkids off to school, working at the family business and coming home to homework with the grandkids! I was critically when I was 3 years old. I asked my parents to pray for me, which they did, and my life was spared. I received my own testimony by reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it when I was a teenager. I was married in the temple for time and all eternity and am so thankful for that. I met my husband at age 14 at a softball game. He was 16. We didn't get married until I graduated from college.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied and prayed and received a testimony from the Holy Ghost that this is the true church, Joseph Smith was a true Prophet and Jesus Christ is my Savior. I worked at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in my teenage years. It was there that I began a serious study of the Book of Mormon and received my answer that the Book of Mormon was indeed true. Everything I have read and studied since then has made my testimony in the Book of Mormon stronger. I loved it when one of our daughters was doing a research paper for school and found a quote from an archeologist not a "Mormon" who said that all archeologists who study South and Central America use the Book of Mormon whether or not they admit it! I love being a mormon because the church helps me to make good choices that bless my life and the lives of my family members, and I am always surrounded with a great support group!. The church give me lots of opportunity to serve and help others. I love the sociality and the peace this church brings me. The church has helped me tremendously in raising my kids and helping raise my grandkids.

How I live my faith

I try to live the way the Savior taught...that is to love God and to love and serve others. I have taught young women in the Church for over 25 years and have a deep love for them and for the opportunity I have had of teaching them and having them teach me! My husband is great at organizing fun activities and I enjoy helping him. We both love missionary work because we love seeing others enjoy the same blessings we have enjoyed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
