Hi I'm Lottie, and

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a career-change Business Ed. high school teacher in paradise Florida. My husband and I have eight children between us. My two sons are out of college and active military, both deployed, not married. My husband's adult children are working and/or attending colleges. The youngest just finished his church mission in November 2011. We moved to FL four years ago after our children graduated from high school, away from the snow in Wisconsin, now near my mother (Dad just passed away Jan '12). My hobbies/interests include genealogy, beach-walking, playing violin, singing in church choir, working in the Temple, water aerobics, doing word, number, and jigsaw puzzles crocheting, and helping those in need. Oops, forgot to mention that I collect angel, violin, seashell, and dolphin stuff, and love the color purple.

Why I am a Mormon

I married into the church over eight years ago. It was something I'd always been searching for I had always been a churchgoer. Living prophets on the Earth today who give us continuing revelation just makes sense. I'm grateful to know where I come from and where I'm going. The knowledge I have gained through scripture study, attending meetings, working my callings, doing service, serving in the Temple, and visit teaching is priceless to me. I am grateful to know that I am a loving daughter of my Heavenly Father, and that brings such joy to my soul. My love for Jesus Christ, my Savior and Redeemer, runs deep in my heart. Also, I will forever be grateful to my husband for introducing me to the Restored Gospel!

How I live my faith

I currently direct the congregation in singing, and serve as a visiting teacher to other sisters. I like to participate in church gatherings and do church-based service projects in our community. The highlight of every month is when we go to serve in the Temple. Before we retire for the night we read scriptures and have family prayer.
