Hi I'm Paul Devereaux

I'm a diligent, satisfied Mormon.

About Me

Being in my 60's and a lifetime member of the LDS Church, I've had many occasions to learn, study and test the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a husband, father and grandfather. By academic training and experience I'm a practicing attorney. I like to think I take nothing as true without testing. I've held a host of callings in the Church, including Bishop. I am blessed with a wife for 42 years, 2 childen and 4 grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the Church, the principles of the Gospel were taught me since my infancy. I was baptised at age 8, served a mission at 19, and have been a practicing member of the Church all my life. I am, however, a convert to the Church, as any serious member must be. I have studied and prayed about the principles of the Gospel of Christ. I continue to do so daily, taking nothing for granted. I have received confirmation in my mind and my soul that the things I have learned are correct. They form a perfect pattern in my mind and in my heart. I love to teach Gospel principles to members and friends, because living these truths has been so rewarding. Of course I've met adversity and challenge throughout my life, but the Gospel has guided me to overcome them. Logic and the Spirit of the Holy Goust have provided unerring direction.

How I live my faith

I seek for chances to serve others. Opportunities come in numerous forms, but, with practice, I believe I have frequently been a part of the solution for others. Christ lived a life of pure service and I strive to be like Him. Service in the family, the Church and the community gives meaning to my existence. I feel great satisfaction when I have extented myself in the service of others.
