Hi I'm Angela

I love my husband and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 11 years and have 3 kids. I am a stay-at-home mom. I love the Red Sox. In fact, I am wearing a Red Sox shirt right now.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints makes me happy. I love knowing the truth of the gospel, but more than anything else it is how it makes my life happy and the peace it brings to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being involved in my community while upholding the things I believe in. I am the PTA president at my kids' school, which sometimes involves making hard decisions. Sometimes it would be easy to make the decisions I want. But I have learned through my faith that sometimes the decisions that are best for me and my family are not the best decisions to make for everyone else. I try to do what is right no matter what I feel.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Angela
I think one of the misconceptions is that the Book of Mormon replaces the Bible for members of our church. It does not. In fact the opposite. It testifies of the Bible and helps me to understand it in ways I otherwise wouldn't be able to. The Bible is a testament of the Jewish people. The Book of Mormon is a similar testament, only of a different people. The people who lived on the American continent a long time ago. It was buried and then later brought forth through the prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
