Hi I'm Heather

I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a twenty-something woman that loves my husband of 3 1/2 years and my quickly growing son. I stay at home with my son as much as I can while working towards a Masters in Public Health, working as a teaching assistant, working as a pharmacy technician at Target Pharmacy and being supportive to my very hard working husband who is getting his PhD. We have lived in Georgia for almost 2 years and came from Utah. I miss the mountains, hiking, biking and cool summer nights but you can't beat a Georgian winter and early spring days-70 degrees in January-and the beautiful trees and flowers that come with a humid climate. I am a small town girl at heart and a very family oriented person. I love my family and I am so grateful for amazing friends who are basically family when we are so far away from our immediate families. The church brings such a feeling of family that I know wherever I go there will be a church family for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the church is the only true church on this Earth. I know that by the confirmation I receive by the Holy Spirit every time I read the scriptures, pray, attend church, go through trials, enjoys successes and deal with every day life. I know that God is in all the details of my life and I enjoy such a blessed life because of my membership in the church. Not to say that life is easy but I know that my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, are always there for me. I know that they love me and only want the best for all of us. Being a parent has only broadened my understanding of how truly reliant upon the Lord I am for every thing, every day. I could not make it through a lot of days without prayers, comfort, understanding and peace from my Heavenly Father. I am also Mormon because I believe that families can be together forever. The blessings of the temple and living righteously allow us to do so and I can think of no greater thing than living with my family, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ together forever. I am also Mormon because I know I could never make it in this life or the next one without my Savior, Jesus Christ. He truly suffered for my sins, comforts me in my sorrow and paid the ultimate price so that I can repent and realize those blessings of the temple to return to Him and Heavenly Father. The Book of Mormon is true and as I read it daily I draw closer to Christ. I challenge any who are out there to read it and really pray and seek the answer to your prayers. You will not forget the sweet feeling of knowing truth and light. Grasp on to it and never let!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. I visit people within our congregation and make sure that their needs are being met, grow friendships and share messages of Christ. I give service to those that may be ill or have a new baby or death of loved one by making meals, occasionally providing childcare or calling and checking on them. I try to live my faith in every aspect of my life and where I fall short, I apologize. I do try to radiate the love of Christ and hope that those who come in contact with me know that I have the spirit of love. I also live my faith by teaching my son correct principles to grow up and become a good man and contributing member of the church and society. I try to live my faith in actions and not just words.
