Hi I'm Mindy.

I am a spirited girl and a DIYer who enjoys life and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy travel. I like to study history. In my spare time I enjoy reading, wood working, figuring out how things work, and being outside. I love doing yard work and cleaning the house. I also enjoy an occassional dirt track race. I am a behavior analyst working with individuals with autism. I speak Spanish and English. I like photography bit and love being with friends and family a lot.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They are wearing out their lives in the service of others as demonstrated by our Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of their example I have been blessed immeasurably in my life. Serving others is the one thing in this life that truly can make us happy. I am never so happy, so content, so at peace as when I am serving others. I know why I am here and where I am headed. My decisions in my life are directed by the faith I have in my Heavenly Father and his son , Jesus Christ. There is clarity for me in how I live my life because of the gospel. Life doesn't have to be confusing. I make decisions early on in relation to the commandments. I do not hesitate when the tough moments arrive. When life is tough it is my faith that sustains me. I can pray to my Heavenly Father for strength, support, and comfort. The scriptures that we have received through the prophets guide and direct us. The Book of Mormon along with the Bible give me direction for my daily life. I know we have a prophet on earth today. He guides and leads us if we will listen. I know the scriptures are the word of God. They, too, guide and direct if we will heed the teachings and I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try every day to model my life after the example of Jesus Christ. He showed us the way to be happy and successful in life. I read from the scriptures each day and I communicate with my Heavenly Father daily through prayer. Being able to attend church each Sunday sets my life in order, to be able to tackle all that may be thrown my way. I serve in the nursery teaching the very young children the basic principles of the gospel.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is the knowledge that different parts of the gospel are true. When we say "I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God" it means to say that we have received the confirmation, through the Holy Ghost, that the information contained therein is sacred and that there is no more reason to doubt. When we have a testimony of things we move forward living the way we should in accordance with the knowledge we have gained. Show more Show less
