Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a leadership consultant, a classical singer, a new wife, and a Mormon.

About Me

I have two major passions in life (other than my faith) - people and music. I'm a leadership consultant by day and a classical singer by night. I studied Psychology as an undergrad and went on to get an MBA, and after a few years working in Human Resources, I ended up in consulting. I love helping people improve their lives by learning new skills and improving their relationships. I enjoy traveling to new places, learning about new cultures, building new relationships, trying new food, and having adventures. As for the music portion, my mom tells me I sang before I spoke. I find that music is the best expression for my deepest thoughts and emotions, and I love sharing that with others. I sang all through high school and college, and most recently I sang with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus for several years while living in the Bay Area. I was recently married and am enjoying this next adventure in life. We're having fun learning from each other and adjusting to marriage - everything from how we clean house to planning babies, from budgets and income to not accidentally smacking each other in our sleep. We're growing together, and loving each step along the way. Everyone always told me that marriage is the best, but I didn't understand exactly how right they were.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have found out for myself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and that when I abide by its teachings I find peace and happiness in my life. When I read the book, in conjunction with the Bible, I feel closer to my Savior and more able to serve God and my neighbor. I know that it's true because I prayed and asked God, tried out the teachings in my life, and found calm and joy by so doing.

How I live my faith

My faith is key to my character. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, and I try to let that shine through in everything I do. I want my hands to be the Savior's hands, whether it's by doing something as simple as taking time to smile at a homeless person I pass on the street or spending a Saturday morning helping rebuild a house.
