Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Alberta, Canada, I am a normal kid going to school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending school in Alberta, Canada studying to become a dentist and graduating in 2014. I enjoy learning about everything and very much what you would call a nerd. I also like music whether singing, playing the piano or the guitar. I go hiking, rappelling and play volleyball. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico City Mexico. I am fluent in Spanish and love to speak it. I am not a mom or a dad but hopefully someday I might be a dad. I used to play my fair share of video games but now I don't seem to find time for it and I enjoy life more now then when I did find time for those things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church my whole life, on both sides of my family we have been members of the church since the 1840's, but do not follow the beliefs of the Mormon church because of my parents. I have been living away from home since I was 18 and had plenty of chances to stop practicing my beliefs. However, I would have to lie to myself in order to do so and I could not live in that state. I got my own personal testimony my first year of living on my own. I had moved away from home to pursue my academic career, and was preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I prayed to know whether it was the will of God that I go and fulfill such a service. In that moment I felt the strongest feeling ever assuring me that this was the true gospel of Christ and that I needed to go and share it with others.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church by being the executive secretary for the bishop. Except for the bishop and his two councilors our congregation is made up of only young single adults. I am responsible for organizing one on one meetings of the bishop with members of the church as well as meetings for all of the leaders of the congregation. I enjoy very much my calling as it gives me the chance to see just how much the leaders of the church love its members and how hard they try to meet the needs of every single one of them.
