Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a mother, a dancer, and life-long student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a medical student's wife and a stay-at-home mom to our beautiful daughter. I love to dance, sing, play musical instruments, take pictures, and do crafts. I recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree in music, art, and dance, and look forward to one day continuing my education in these and other areas. I also love learning new languages and about other cultures. So far I've studied French, ASL, and Mandarin Chinese, and I hope to one day travel to Europe and Japan. I plan on being an unofficial student for life.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are Mormon--my mom lifelong, my dad a convert, and so I joined the Church at the age of 8--as most other Mormon youth do. I love being a member of this Church because it brings me closer to my Savior and my Father in Heaven, and helps me see and become what they see--in myself, in others, and in my mortal and eternal plan. I appreciate the Church's focus on the family, including how the smaller church units act as a family, and the opportunity that it gives me through temple covenants to live with my family forever. Put simply, I love the joy that being a member of this Church brings into my life.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Church by organizing compassionate service efforts, such as sending meals to those who are sick, coordinating rides, and cleaning houses. I also serve as our Ward's choir director. Outside of Church service, I live my faith by doing my best to keep the commandments the Lord has given us in the scriptures, and by teaching these commandments, as well as a love of God, to my daughter. I strive to make the way I live reflect the things I believe--which is, basically, to love God and to love others as myself.
