Hi I'm Diane

I am a wife, mother, and grandma! and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a 55 year old woman, wife, mother, grandmother and have a job that requires a bit of commute each day now that all my children are gone and with an empty nest, felt I wanted to be out and among others and working at something that could improve my skills and help me for future endeavors. My hobbies include singing, playing guitar, running, reading, among a few..but my biggest hobby is just keeping in touch with and loving my children and grandchildren. They are my greatest joy in this life .

Why I am a Mormon

I have a deep and abiding testimony of the Restored gospel of Jesus Christ. My testimony of this has come through great spiritual experiences and day to day abiding by the principles and simple truths that are so apparent in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I feel that love is the key to living the gospel..And that love for God and for my fellowman is the key to living the gospel of Jesus Christ. The other principles of the gospel simply fall into that abiding love for my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. The gospel is simple. And I try to remember that in my day to day living. Nothing is more important than the pure love of our Savior. And I desire to live that important commandment each day through my words, deeds, and actions.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

In Corinthians 15 it teaches us about the resurrection and it goes on to ask the question..Else why be baptized for the dead if the dead rise not at all? That question that was placed way back in the meridian of time tells us that baptisms for the dead did take place in the early church of Jesus Christ. And today because we have modern revelation we know that this ordinance is still in effect and can be done in Temples of the Lord. We do these ordinances for those who have died who have not had the opportunity to be baptized while in this life and who may not have known about the Savior and his teachings..And also for those who died before the Church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth in its fullness. Having this knowledge helps us to become Saviors on Mt. Zion for our dead ancestors and those others who may need this ordinance performed for them.   Show more Show less
