Hi I'm Joanne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Idaho all my life except eleven years that I lived in California. Both have great scenery and have great places to visit. I am the mother of three, two sons and one daughter. I am the grandmother of six, five grandaughters and one grandson. I also have a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law . All of whom I love very much. I have been married to my good husband for thirty-one years. He is my best friend and the love of my life.  The next most important things are God, Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love making my home a place of peace and joy by giving it care by doing the things that I love such as cooking, cleaning, sewing and decorating. I enjoy yard work and gardening. My hobbies and interests are photography, art, bead making, and ceramics. I take photography and art and computer classes at our local college. I love learning new things. I have another daily companion I live with each day, it's name is "limited sclerodarma crest". It is a rare auto-immnune disorder. It has been a teacher of many things, mostly limits, endurance and patience. Some days it wins, some days I win. But guess who wins the most, ME. In spite of it I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have been members of the church for many generations. So I was born a member of the church, however my parents had become less active. When I was a child my parents became active for a period of time. We where sealed as a family, in the Idaho Falls temple. I loved being in the temple. My Dad baptized me when I turned eight. A few years later they became less active again. I have always knew in my heart the church was true. My parents would drop me off and pick me up if wanted to go. Sometimes I would find it easier not to go. I attened all four years of seminary. After graduation from High School I married a less active member and moved to California. I lived there eleven years, when my husband was killed in a automotive accident, I moved back to Idaho where I had family. This was a hard time for me, but a great time for growth. I learned during this time of trials to rely on God and how much he loved me. I learned that Jeues loved me enough to die for me. Most of all I learned how much I love God, Jesus Christ and The Church of Jesus of Latterday Saints. This is were my conversion took place, or some would call it being born again. I became committed to being a true follower of Christ, by living the gospel to the best of my abilities. I am not perfect but God still loves me. After about three and half years later I married again in the Logan Temple. My husband and I have been married thrity one years. We have a daughter, and a son. We have three wonderful children , and six wonderful grandchildren. I have a testimony of the gosple of Jesus Christ. I know that Josph Smith was a prophet of God, and that President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God today. I know God loves each of his children and we are all his children. I know that Jesus lives, and that he died for each of us. I am thankful to Jesus for the gift of repentance, and the life he lived. I am thankful for forever families. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try and live the gosple, by being a good exsample, and trying to live my life that others may know God, Jesus, and the church by how I live. I serve in the Twin Falls Temple on Tuesday mornings, and love those I work with and being in the temple. I am a Visiting Teacher, I and another Sister visit four Sisters in the ward, checking on them and sharing a gospel message with them each month. I Home Teach with my husband we visit three family and share a message with them from the First Presidency of the church, and check on them. I love these family and the opportunity I have to share the gospel with them, and serve them. I am a Girls Activity Days Leader, this means I help and plan and do activity with the girls, between the ages of eight and twelve. Some of the fun things we did this year was to make P.J. bottoms. Then we had a P.J. and a Pizza Party. We did a hike around Lake Cleveland, roasted hot dogs and made smores. We had an early morning bike ride, and breakfast. We did the river walk, and had ice cream cones. We had a boating activity. We are working on learning The Articles of Faith. I love these girls and enjoy working with them. I love serving my family, they are most important thing in my life. I love serving others. I try to make scripture study, and personal prayer a part of my every day life, and do all that I can to keep my testamony strong.
