Hi I'm Walter

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

About Me

I am a truck driver by trade and i enjoy camping and target shoots with my son. i married my wife, she's a member of the church, back in 2001 and she had three girls 16,12, and 9. Our son came nine months after we were married. My wife brings me great strength, it helps that we are of the same faith. My wife, my son and I study the scriptures everyday and say family prayer together. This keep us close and helps us understand the scriptures better.

Why I am a Mormon

I am what you would call a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I joined the church back in 2000 on Easter. I had a little bit of a Christian back ground but not with very much details. I never new what my purpose was here on earth and always thought when you died you either went to Heaven or Hell. When I started investigation the church I realized that my questions were being answered in over powering detail. Then I found out that I lived with Heavenly Father before I came here. That brought me great joy knowing that Heavenly Father new me by name and understood me. The more I read the Book of Mormon I realized that it didn't take away from the things I already believed in but gave me more to believe in. I finally realized after much study that if I followed by the precepts in the Book of Mormon and also the Bible I would get closer to God and understand my role better in my life. I have learned that prayer is really important not only to me but also to Heavenly Father. I have a firm testimony that I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and they love me. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored once again to the earth as well as His Priesthood and His authority to perform His ordinances has also been restored. I know if someone reads the Book of Mormon and pray with faith to know if it's true, the Holy Ghost will manifest it unto them that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by treating those around me as I want to be treated. I have had many calls in the church. I have assisted the Bishop for years and was the Young Mens President and worked side by side with the missionaries. The more I involve myself in the church the more i learn and grow.
