Hi I'm Nathan

I am a barefoot runner, marriage and family therapist, and triathlon enthusiast, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a barefoot runner and triathlon enthusiast. I am a marriage and family therapist in training. I am a husband and a father. I love reading novels, making blanket forts with my kids, and late afternoon walks with my wife. I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the pure doctrine of faith in Jesus Christ that I have found in the church. I have been greatly blessed through my membership of this church both in my growing up years and in my current family life. Having served a mission in Uruguay I saw the magnificent blessings that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ brings to those who live it faithfully. I have been personally blessed through doctrine of the church and I believe with all of my heart that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always looking for ways to bless and serve others around me. I strive daily to be a good husband and father. I currently serve in the Boy Scouts of America and I work closely with the young men in my ward.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Nathan
We don't drink coffee, tea, or alcohol because we believe that these substances are harmful to our body and spirit. In a revelation given to Joseph Smith, members of the church were taught a law of health that included not only what substances to avoid but also the importance of incorporating good foods in our diet. This law of health provides us with truth that blesses our body, mind, and spirit so that we can live an abundant and a happy life. I have avoided these substances throughout my life and continually strive to eat the good foods of this earth. I have been richly blessed with happiness because of the Church's law of health.
