Hi I'm Michael Wayment

I have grown up in the Church, went on a mission, sealed to my wife in the Boise Temple, and love being a father and grandfather.

About Me

I enjoying being a father and grandfather. I play the mandolin, saxophone and clarinet. I like speaking with those who know Serbo-Croatian and German--having served a mission in Austria and Yugoslavia. Currently I am a high school special education teacher. My wife and I have been married for more than thirty years. We have six wonderful children--five living--and soon three grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I gained a testimony of the Book of Morman when I was in high school attending seminary. That was the first time I had read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. I put the promise in Moroni 10: 4-5 to the test and received my answer. Living the teachings of Jesus Christ has given me the strength to overcome the obstacles in my life. Reading the scriptures has brought me closer to Him. The Holy Spirit continues to witness to me the love he has for me. I am greatful for the witness I have that Joseph Smith did restore the Gospel to the earth in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I have been active in the Church as a Scout Master in the Young Men's program for many years. I have found no better platform for teaching strong moral values and citizenship than through the Scouting program. I enjoy teaching about the scriptures. I strive daily to live the teachings taught me by my parents, and I teach those same principles to my children. Currently I am the High Priest Group Leader in my ward.
