Hi I'm Jefferson

I'm an Air Force pilot. I'm a father of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in hot and humid Houston, Texas with my seven siblings, all sisters! I had two loves as a child: baseball and fighter jets. I was sure I would one day play baseball in the Major Leagues. While becoming a pro ball player didn't pan out, I have been extremely fortunate and completed the long road to becoming an Air Force pilot. It is literally a dream come true. Some of my favortie interests include playing and watching sports, reading good books, and eating delicious food. I have had some great food all around the world. But when all is said and done nothing beats a good cheeseburger and milk shake. Most importantly I have had the blessing of finding a beautiful wife to marry for time and eternity. We have four wonderful children who fill our lives with pure joy, as well as healthy amounts of stress and exhaustion. Nothing in my life means more to me than my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been close to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have warm memories hearing my parents talk about their devotion to the Lord and how they had witnessed His hand in their lives. As I grew older I faced personal obstacles that challenged my belief in the church. Sometimes I made choices that were not in line with the principles I had been taught as a child. I knew those choices were not what my Father in Heaven desired of me. I trusted in what I had been taught and sought forgiveness from my Savior Jesus Christ. As I turned to the Lord, I began to learn for myself the power of Christ's atonement. I was blessed with strong feelings of peace and happiness. I felt the love that He personally feels for me. Today I feel the same feelings when I serve others, study the Book of Mormon and Bible, and seek Him through sincere prayer. I always want to feel His love. And more importantly, I want my children to learn how to feel it as well so that they can know Him.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve my congregation as a leader to the young men. I prepare weekly lessons on principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to share with these youth. It is a great blessing to share my feelings about my Savior with these growing boys.
