Hi I'm Brent

I have a fantastic life with an exceptional wife, nine children, a great heritage, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Father of nine children, five boys and four girls. My wife and I have been married for thirty years and have been actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the whole time. People say to me often that nine children are a lot and I agree with them. However, each one is a blessing in my life and I have learned so much from being their father. I love life and feel that every person has an inherent goodness about them. Those who don't display it have merely lost their way. I enjoy interactions with others that provides opportunities to help and be helped by others. I enjoy helping others especially those who are not expecting it. I enjoy seeing a need and working to help fulfill that need. Recently I went back to school at age 50 and completed an on-line MBA degree. I found it challenging, but at the same time very rewarding. It had been a long time since I had challenged myself intellectually. This experience made me a better person and gave me a new perspective on life and the importance of always learning new things. I have learned that one is never to old to learn new things and my wife says that it makes me more interesting to talk too.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to be an actively involved member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and I have been my whole life. When I was young I embraced it because of my parents, but as I grew into my teenage years there came a time that I questioned if what I had been taught was true. I then began to search for answers to my questions in the scriptures and through prayer. As I matured and grew older I served a mission where my testimony was solidified each time I taught principles of the gospel to others. The Holy Ghost would witness to me that each concept discussed or taught was true and that in order to return to my Heavenly Father's presence I would need to actively participate in the Church my entire life. I am so thankful for this unending witness of revealed truths that came into my life as a young man and continues to come to my life as I age and grow older. This unending activity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints has provided uncountable blessings for myself and my family. I will be ever grateful to loving parents who set my foot upon the eternal path that will lead me back into the presence of my loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Living as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints inspires me to put into action the teachings of the Savior. It is important to me that I like Jesus Christ go about doing good. I have opportunities to provide service to others by visiting them in their homes. At times I get a call asking for help when someone is moving or working on some other project. It is easy to take the time to help when I consider that the Savior of the world took time for everyone. To become like him I must act as he acted and be as he is.
