Hi I'm Jordan

I am the seventh son of eleven kids, all of which are my best friends. I am married to a wonderful woman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up playing the trombone and playing soccer. We had enough people in my family for a band and a soccer team of our own. We constantly struggled to get along with each other, but through my parents' constantly teaching us about the gospel of Jesus Christ, we have grown up to become best friends. I am currently married and looking to start a family of my own. My wife and I have not been able to have children biologically, but we have been investigating adoption possibilities.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into the LDS Church, I have given a lot of time to study and pray to know that this is the true church of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and the doctrines revealed through the prophet Joseph Smith, and I have receive an answer from God that they are true. I hope that I can share this information with my friends and family because it makes me happy to know that I am a child of God, and that I can return to live with him after this life. I think the first time I really wanted to know if the Church of Jesus Christ was true was on a trip my parents took my family on to visit Nauvoo, Illinois. In that trip, we visited Carthage Jail, the place where Joseph Smith was killed. Standing outside of the jail is a statue of Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum. As I looked at it, I thought to myself, "Why would these men die for this Church if they did not think it important or true?" It was then that I realized that there was a great deal to learn, and I believe the Spirit of God gave me a desire to learn the truth.

How I live my faith

I do my best to keep the commandments laid out to us in the scriptures. I do not look down on others who may not follow the same moral code, but I hope they can see my life as an example of what can bring them happiness. I am not perfect, but I strive to do what I can to bring me closer to the Lord.
