Hi I'm Dan

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Nebraska. Served a mission in California. I am a Vietnam veteran. I sell real estate.

About Me

I am the father of four sons and the grandfather of 8 grandchildren. When not working in my real estate business I enjoy gardening, running, and reading. Of course, I always enjoy baby sitting and playing with my grandchildren. I also enjoy various sports. I have taken up tennis in the last few years.

Why I am a Mormon

My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is as important as my family. I don't believe heaven will be a heaven to me without my wife, my four sons, my wonderful daughters-in-law, and my grandchildren. I am a Mormon because I believe in the eternal nature of the family. The priesthood authority restored through the prophet Joseph Smith provides that opportunity to be with them in the life after. I also know that happiness comes by conforming one's life to the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Mormon church teaches the fulness of Christ's gospel and encourages us to be an example of His teachings. I have been taught to be honest and in doing good to all people. I have hope in Him and I am encouraged to be an example of the believers.

How I live my faith

As a father, I became involved in the lives of my children and the families of their friends. I coached soccer, basketball, and Little League. I became involved in the Boy Scouts of America. Each of our sons became Eagle Scouts. Each of them participated in high school athletics. I have served as a bishop of two wards and a stake president overseeing several wards. I currently teach a missionary preparation class for those young men and women who are planning to serve missions.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christians. We know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. That He has provided the resurrection for everyone who has ever lived and that through His atonement He has provided each the opportunity to repent and to become perfected. Show more Show less
