Hi I'm Charlie

I'm a husband. I'm a dad. I'm an athlete. I'm a Florida Gators fan. I'm a basketball fan & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the southeast of the United States. I am a dad of one boy so far, and we are planning to have more. I love sports but I love my family more, especially my wife. I enjoy participating in sports, especially church athletics. I really enjoy helping other people and rendering service.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints before I was born. When I was growing up they, and my older sister, were the only members of my family who were part of the church. Most of the rest of my family was Methodist, which meant many summers going to bible school as a kid while my parents worked. In high school I began to question myself if this was for real and if it was for me. I remember sitting at a youth meeting in church one day I received a testimony of the truth. I had been praying to know, reading to know, and asking questions, mostly to myself. I don't know what was said during the meeting that night, I only know that the Holy Spirit must've been invited there by the speaker. I had the sensation of warmth and electricty all over my body, and at the same time an influx of knowledge and truth, confirmation of the truth to be exact. It was so personal and loving to me that it inspired me to serve a two year mission to give other people the opportunity to have that personal truth and relationship with God and Jesus Christ. My mission gave me plenty more personal spiritual experiences and confirmations from our Loving Heavenly Father. Since then I have been married in the temple to my wonderful wife and I strive to honor the truth I know that we can be together forever and death will not do us apart as husband and wife.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a teacher in my Elder's Quorum and active participant in my stake and ward. I am a home teacher to two great families and I hope to be a great home teacher to them.
