Hi I'm Marilou

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I have 4 children and 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. I will be having my 10th grandchild and 2nd great grandchild in just a few months. As a child always thought it would be fun to work for a bank so I pursued that “dream” and have been working in the banking profession off and on now for about 34 years. I enjoy reading, walking, going on hikes, photography and traveling to see different places but most of all I love traveling to spend time with my children and grandchildren

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace and spirit that living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings to me. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for about 36 years. I was introduced to the church by a neighbor who was a baby sitter for my children. My husband at the time had gone to get the children and started talking to her about finding peace and how he found his peace through Transcendental Meditation. She said she found hers through living the gospel of Jesus Christ and being a member of the LDS church. She gave him a pamphlet of Joseph Smiths first vision which peaked his interest and we met with missionaries to learn more. We also wanted to know more about how families can be together forever and eternal marriage. We joined the church but unfortunately his idea of an eternal family wasn’t to be. He left us and went his way but I held on to my faith and belief in Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was my strength through this difficult time as were the members of the church. The gospel changed my life and made me a better person The gospel of Jesus Christ has always been my strength and comfort. Its teachings have brought joy and happiness to me and my family. I feel that without being a member of this church my life or that of my family would not have been as full and rewarding. I feel it made for a happier family life and my children knew of the gospel standards and lived them. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel and that Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer and that the book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that we have living prophets and apostles to lead an guide us today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example to those I associate with and come in contact with. I pray to Heavenly Father and read the scriptures. I attend the Temple and my church meetings. I also just try to conduct my life in accordance to gospel standards and treat others as I would want to be treated. I try to be a good wife, mother, and grandmother and show love to those around me.
