Hi I'm Suzi

I work full time. I'm doing independent studies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work full-time and I'm taking online classes towards a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology. I love spending time with my family, especially my neices and nephews. I enjoy running, swimming and really doing anything outside in the summer. I have recently taken an interest in slacklining which is great fun! I also love travelling. I would love to visit every continent in my lifetime, even Antarctica. I love looking up at night and seeing the stars and looking at the constellations. I love life and want to make every moment memorable.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that God answers prayers today. He has answered so many of my prayers through the power of the Holy Ghost. The prayer that he answered that changed my life was when I asked him if the Book of Mormon is true and if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is his church. Like many teenagers I was questioning what I'd been taught by my parents growing up and I didn't want to have to keep all these rules if what I'd been taught wasn't true and that's when I decided to find out for myself. I didn't see an angel or hear a thunderous voice. My answer was very simple and yet so profound. In fact my answer came gradually, over many months. There's a prophet named Alma in the Book of Mormon that teaches that we should experiement on the word. So I did. I learned that when I was following the teaching of the prophets today and the teachings of Christ in the Bible and the Book of Mormon I was happy and had an overall sense of peace, like everything in the end was going to turn out just fine. I also learned that those feelings weren't there when I wasn't doing what I knew I should.

How I live my faith

I love studying in the Bible about the many things Christ did while he was here on the earth. I love how so often he ministered to people one by one. I think sometimes the simplest things can make the biggest difference to a persons day. One thing that I do to try to be like Christ is when I'm riding the train to work in the morning I try to look for older people, people kids or anybody else I think might need a seat and give my seat to them. I also love smiling at people I don't know and say hi. I love helping people. One apartment complex that I lived in was quite large and my roomate and I would often see people moving in or out and would go help them. That also became a great way to meet our new neighbors. Mostly I just try to be a little more like Christ everyday.
