Hi I'm Becki

I'm a museum archivist. I'm a travel enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single woman in the church, living in southern California. I recently finished my master's degree, having emphasized my studies in Humanities. I have a passion for history, the arts, and culture, and love exploring those things outside my own home and especially in other countries. Soccer, surfing, hiking, camping, and guitar are among my list of hobbies. I am a daughter to amazing parents, a sister to five fantastic siblings, and an aunt to 19 nieces and nephews, who are so much fun.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents converted to the LDS faith before any of their children were born, so though I was born into the church, I have been raised with an open-minded insight of how those who are not of our faith view us. It's a perspective that tested my own belief while I was in college, but also brought me to a powerful conclusion that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real. Recognizing the Spirit in my own heart and mind took dedication and a desire to know the truth. When I took the time to really try and understand what it was all about, I could not deny its truthfulness. I am a Mormon today because I found out for myself that there is a prophet on the earth today and that God still speaks to His children. Miracles have not ceased to be. And on top of all that, it's an incredibly healthy, fulfilling, and progressive way to live life.

How I live my faith

I currently attend church with other singles in the area that I live. I am active in attending church meetings on Sunday, as well as activities throughout the week. I serve as a secretary to the president of the women's group in my area, and assist in visiting those women who are struggling or in need of a friend.
