Hi I'm J'Nay

I have faith in Jesus Christ and I'm grateful to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am an individual who enjoys life in a variety of ways. I don't have any amazing talents, impressive hobbies, or natural skills that set me apart and I've never accomplished anything truly noteworthy but I'm happy to be me. Life experiences have helped me to understand that the places we live and work, the things we do, the people we know, the careers we choose, etc. do not determine our happiness. There are challenges and difficulties no matter where we are and what we're doing. Our attitude and our approach to life make a huge difference. One of my favorite quotes is: "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. I have experienced His guidance and felt his love many times. When I read the scriptures, pray, and attend church meetings I feel close to Him. I also feel more whole as I learn to trust and rely on my Saviour. There have been many hurts and struggles in my life that the Spirit has helped me to navigate through and I have been able to become stronger as I turn to the Lord for assistance. I have studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and I know they are both inspired books that God has given us. As we continually study and apply what we learn from the scriptures we will strengthen our relationship with the Lord and increase in understanding of our purpose here on earth.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is the perfect example of how to live. I'm thankful for the strength that He has given me, and for the guidance that I receive from Him. I try to live my life in a way that will show Him that I'm grateful for the many blessings I'm given. I feel peaceful and close to the Saviour when I read the scriptures, pray, and go to church so I try to make those things a priority in my life. I love being involved in activities involving the gospel. I know that if the Saviour were on earth that He would love and serve everyone so I try to follow His example and help others to feel welcome, cared for, and included. I've been asked by local church leaders to be involved in planning large conferences for young single adults so that we can all have fun, build friendships, create memories, and grow spiritually. By living the gospel and following the Saviour I hope to become a better person and therefore bless the lives of others.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

J'Nay
Eternal life is living in a state of happiness with our Father in Heaven after we die. It's also being able to live with our families forever. To receive this, we need to keep God's commandments and faithfully endure trials. Life is hard but we can look to Christ as our example and rely on the Atonement for assistance! Heavenly Father wants each of us to return to Him so He has prepared a way for us to be able to do so. Even when we can't recognize it, the Lord is guiding us. He blesses our lives on a daily basis, and helps us to navigate through rough times. Prayer and scripture study will help us develop a relationship with the the Lord which will bring us hope, peace, and joy. God's greatest gifts and blessings await us, all we need is some patience and some faith! Show more Show less
