Hi I'm Kristelle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning about other people, places and things. This is the main reason why I love reading and movies and lets be honest TV too. Being raised with a father in the Navy and now following my husband on his medical rotations I have met lots of people and love how we are all different yet all very similar. After finishing college with a degree in English I worked for a library tying together my love of books and people. After getting married I changed my focus from career to my family. Right now my husband and I are dealing with infertility issues and waiting for the day when we can raise children in our home. Until that day I support my husband in medical school for a few more months and then on to residency.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was nine my mom started taking me, my sister and my brother to church. My father had no interest but did not stop us from attending. Even as a child I loved what I was taught, especially the plan of salvation. I was baptized shortly thereafter. My family moved and we never really found the church again until I was almost 14. I started high school a few months later and also started attending seminary. My teacher was wonderful and really helped to understand and learn about the gospel. After high school I went away to college. For the first time I really struggled with my faith but whenever I was tempted to give up I would remember the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. I knew there was no way Joseph Smith could have written that book. And since Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon everything else must be true. Even now when I start to doubt or lack faith the Book of Mormon always brings me back because I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I have had the chance to serve in many places geographically and also in many different ways. One of the biggest ways I have served was a missionary in Seoul, South Korea for 18 months. In the past I have also been in charge of the publications in my ward, was in charge of the women's organization twice, and helped plan activities for women. One of my favorite ways I have served was to help in the nursery with the children who are 18 months to 3 years. It is amazing how much young children know and understand.
