Hi I'm Kendra

I'm an Idaho girl; I love potatoes and I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most of my family lives in Idaho. I was born and raised there with all of my brothers. While I was going to college I got married. After I graduated I became a proud mom. While trying to raise a happy family I also work part time editing court documents. I love banana bread, camping, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but when I was a teenager I reached a cross-roads where I needed to decided if I wanted to be a Mormon. I looked at our Articles of Faith - there are 13 of them. I read each one individually and prayed about each one. One by one I gained a testimony of all of the Articles of Faith; I knew if those were true the LDS church was true. From there I gained a knowledge that Joseph Smith really did see God and Jesus Christ. Because I know that is true I know that the Book of Mormon is really from God and that we have a real prophet on the earth today. God has helped me to know what is true and because I love Him and I am His daugher I should follow what is truth. Being a Mormon makes me feel happy and full of peace.

How I live my faith

My husband and I were asked to be part of the Family History group in our ward. That means we try to devote some extra time to looking for our ancestors and learning more about them. We started by memorizing our closest four generations of family history. I now know all of my husband's great-grandparents and my great-grandparents by name even though I haven't met them.
