Hi I'm Sara

I'm newly married. I teach at an urban elementary school. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am enjoying being newly married, and I teach at an inner-city elementary school. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have come to better understand that this life is an opportunity for me to learn and grow. Jesus Christ came here to set an example of how we should live and taught how we can return to live with him and our Father in Heaven after this life. As I try to become like him I have found that I don't have to do it alone. He has given us prophets and teachers to lead the way, and has established the family as a support system. I am continually learning and I know there won't be an end to my learning. I learn from the scriptures, from our leaders, and through prayer. I know that I have discovered truth when it is confirmed in my mind and in my heart. As I continue to learn and live my faith I feel love from my Father in Heaven and Savior.

How I live my faith

As a teacher, I draw strength from my faith each day. I try to see my students as my Father in Heaven sees them. I'm grateful for the opportunity to impact lives. I know that I can go to my Father in Heaven and ask Him to change me for the better through my teaching experiences and for guidance to know how to help my students. Each day I strive to live my faith and draw strength from it by reading the scriptures and praying - individually and with my family. I know that God is my Father in Heaven and these things help me to communicate with Him.
