Hi I'm Gary

I am a father of three, a grandfather of seven, and I am a convert, I love to share the joy of the Gospel, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wife since I got out of high school, for 33 years. I have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 son. I have 7 grandchildren so far. I am a convert of 12 years and have had some great experience's that I could of never had, if not for entering the waters of Baptism. My hobbies are anything to do with my family. We go jeeping, hunting, fishing, just spending weekends, holidays, and time together.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife was already a member when we had gotten married and was less active, (thanks to me). As we had children and they got older my wife set an example by taking them to Church and involving them in activities when I wasn't dragging them to the lake or somewhere on Sunday. Then as they got older they noticed that I was not attending Church with them and started to complain to their mom when it was time to get ready for Church. I seen the example to my children that I was being and decided to help my good wife out by attending Church also. I met with the missionaries for many months and went thru many sets of companions. I knew the Church was true because everything just made sense, it was easy to see the concepts that Our Creator wants for us, just as me as a father want for my children. I was waiting for me, to be perfect, before I was to join and one morning I woke up and thought " Heavenly Father knows of all my faults and he still loves me and will take me less than perfect, so I decided that I will never be perfect and I needed to be a better example to my wife and children. At the age of 39 I joined the Church and one year later I went through the Temple with my family. I cannot express in words, the joy of the Gospel in my life and the many spiritual expereince's I have had, just when I cannot think it can get any better, it does. I have been a Member for 12 years now and look back and see many blessings in my life from people, who the Lord has used as an instrument in His hands, to shape me into a better husband, father, son and person. I am grateful for Jesus Christ in my life and for the Prophets who has restored the Gospel in these Latter Days. I have a testimony of Book of Morman and the teachings of the Gospel and pray each day that I may endure to the end so I can be part of my family for eternity, and these things I say in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Amen

How I live my faith

I serve in a ward with 500+ members. I had several callings in the 12 years I have served and especially like working with the youth. I enjoy the families I have been assigned to Home teach and have had some great experience's that are private miracles, from helping these families out. My favorite activity is attending Temple trips with the youth of our ward. I try and do the things I have been taught, every day week (not just Sunday's), and when I slip I ask for Heavenly Father not only to forgive me but to help me not slip again.
