I also served with the CT Army National Guard for another 9 years as Senior Mechanic with the 143 th MP, 103 th Chemical Co. & 143 FSB etc... I am a Dad with three children and a Grandfather of nine. College experiences are 1 Diesel Technology Certificate, 2 Associates Degree in Business Administration and 3 Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice / Forensics "In Progress". I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 21 years.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were religious and felt that a life without God would be meaningless. Although they were not LDS, they believed in a good honest work ethic to help with character & personality building and always listened to what others had to say "without judgment". I learned to read by watching my Father preach to his congregation by echoing his selected verses as he spoke. However, unanswered questions had been surfacing periodically such as: Who Jesus visited while being dead for three days, who were these other flocks of sheep and most of all, who was this High Priest Melchizedek. My Father and I would travel periodically to a town called Bloomfield, where we would garden with my Grandfather and visit other family members. However, my Father realized that I would view this one particular building each time we would pass by it. He asked if I would like to go inside to worship with them I replied "No" since God does not want me to go their. Many years had pasted and I had graduated from H.S., entered the USMC for two tours and later returned home only to bury my Father three weeks later. Many questions had not been answered and my thirst had not been quenched. A friend of my spouse realized that I was feeling low and asked if I would read the Book of Mormon and naturally I said yes. Once I accepted the lessens and accepted the reading of Moroni Chapter 10 verse 3-7 and decided to receive Baptism it was then the truth of GODS plan had come full circle and Heavenly Father had held my hand from birth. I learned the truth through my life’s experiences, readings from the Book of Mormon, Holy Bible and by finally entering into the building that was now the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and previously "Seventh Day Adventist". God works in mysterious ways with a greater since of direction. EQP

How I live my faith

Although we all are not perfect we must live through examples of others until we finally receive our own testimony. Many methods I apply into my life are 1 prayer 2 reading of the scriptures and 3 service. However the simplest would be to do unto others as you would like to have done unto you. Partaking of the sacrament and fellowshipping with members is a crucial part in developing ones faith.
