Hi I'm Richard

I've worked in the American legal system for 30 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an official court reporter serving the State of North Carolina. I'm the father of 6 and grandfather of 9. I love traveling with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've always known it's true. Since my father started investigating the church when I was a child I have felt a peace and comfort in the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I love serving with the young people around me. Working in the court system I see so many signs of how our society is failing to teach and train young people. This failure brings tragedy to so many lives. The truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are a remedy to these failings. Teaching the young people at church and in my community lifts them. It helps them avoid coming to see me where I work. I hate seeing the folks I know come to my work, those who come as victims or defendants need help and support. The Gospel can provide that.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Richard
We are not required to serve a mission. Because we are so richly blessed for our service, many of us do choose to serve. I was honored to be called to serve in Mexico. Sharing the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others was great blessing for me. I look forward to the day when my wife and I will be able to serve. Show more Show less
