Hi I'm Marlayna

I love the outdoors. I am a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Montana. I am the youngest of 7 in a your mine and ours kind of family. I served a mission. I love the outdoors. I try to be out in them as much as I can. There is nothing better to be outside and to see the wonders that the Lord has created for us. I am a college student. I am gardener when I am not at school. I have lived in 8 states. I love to go and see places. I am learning to love to run.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon but I decide a long time ago that I was a Mormon. At 19 years old I felt like I really needed to know for myself. So I chose to live the commandments and teachings of Christ the best way I knew how. I started to read the Book of Mormon often. Daily prayer started to become a habit. I went to church each Sunday. The Word of Wisdom became important to me. As I started to turn my whole life to Christ I started to see and understand who I really am. I learned that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and I have a Savior. I am by no means perfect but I do my best to live as God would have me do everyday. I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel is true. I also know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it teaches us what we need to know to come to Christ and be His follower. I know that Joseph Smith Saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Most of all I know Christ. He is my Savior. I am a Mormon because I love God and want to see Him again someday.

How I live my faith

i am a student. My whole life is surrounded by faith. Everyday in every class we start with a prayer. We have an honor code that we sign to even be here. We promise to be honest, chase, modest, clean in language and appearance. We do this so that we can always feel the spirit in our lives as students. I attend church every Sunday. On the second Sunday of every month I get to teach the Ladies in my ward. In these lessons we teach about the basic principles and ordinances of Christ's church. I also have the chance to be a visiting teacher. This is were we have ladies in our ward that we teach and look after. Each month we meet together and we teach them lessons about Christ's teachings. There are also ladies who come and teach me. The best part is we don't just have to see each other once a month. We can meet together often to check on each other and make sure everything is going good. I have many chances to serve those around me, I just hope God helps me to have my eyes open to see that need and my heart open to understand what is needed. We are Heavenly Fathers children and He wants us to help one another out. That is how I live my faith, by trying to be like Jesus and serving those I can.
