Hi I'm Anne

I'm a working mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently put my husband through medical school by dividing my time between my two dream jobs. I am a full-time mom by day and at naptimes and nighttimes I whip out my laptop and work for my family's business. Cooking nutritionally excellent food from scratch is a passion of mine so you'll usually be greeted at our front door with the smell of whole grain muffins or a vegetable curry.  I adore my two little girls and you'll most likely find us out walking or cuddled up with a book... if I'm not working my way through a sinkful of dishes. Did I mention I like to cook?

Why I am a Mormon

My dad converted to the church after he married my mom, who was a life-long member. I was raised Mormon. Most importantly, though, as a teenage I prayed to know if the things I was learning in Church and reading in the Book of Mormon were true and I received an indisputable, unforgettable confirmation. Now as I teach my daughters about Jesus Christ and share with them that we have a living prophet who guides us, I feel that same confirmation daily. Growing up in the Church influenced me to seek for a family of my own and I'll be forever grateful I chose to marry and have children. Knowing that I can be with them forever is an incredible blessing and influences every decision I make.

How I live my faith

I help plan the Sunday meetings for the women in our area, as well as teach lessons. I take notes during the lessons to send to those who are unable to meet with us, either due to illness or their service with the youth during the same time the women meet.  I live my faith every day by studying scriptures, teaching my daughters from the scriptures, and helping others whenever I see a need.

What is the priesthood?

The priesthood is the power of God on earth. My husband has the priesthood and has given me and my children blessings of comfort and healing at times of distress and sickness. The priesthood is also used to baptize and to seal families together, among other things. Show more Show less
