Hi I'm Steve

I'm the father of an artist, scientist and golfer. I'm helping search for a cure for Arthritis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have spent most of my career working for non-profit organizations. I currently work for a professional society and foundation that provides funding for liver disease research and dissemination of knowledge that promotes quality patient care. I have found great joy in my work raising money and awareness for those suffering from liver diseases but my greatest joy comes from seeing my children grow and mature. My son is currently serving a mission for the church and my daughters are in high school and we gain strength everyday from our testimony of Jesus Christ

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ has provided me with a clear understanding of why I am here on earth, what I am suppose to accomplish, and the knowledge that I am a child of God. This knowledge gives me a great perspective on life and the choices that I need to make to return to live with my Heavenly Father. This direction makes me a better person, a better spouse, a better father and better friend. My testimony is based on the belief that Jesus Christ provided a way for all of us to overcome sin and death. This gives me the strength and desire everyday to live more like him and serve my fellowman.

How I live my faith

Most of my life I have been asked to serve in the Young Men's program of the church. I have been involved in scouting for more than 30 years including my own days as a boyscout. I have helped many young men work towards and earn their Eagle and this has been some of the most valuable work I have done in my life. I have also enjoyed coaching youth basketball teams as I still try to keep up with my son and the rest of his high school friends. One lesson that I have taken away from all of this experience is that people can always change. No matter what mistakes or bad decisions you make in this life there is always a way to change and make things better. I have seen many youth that strayed from the straight and narrow and were able to make things right and become outstanding husbands and fathers.
