Hi I'm Whitney

I'm a college student. I love books. I'm an older sister and love being with my siblings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently going to school as a Junior in college. I'm an English Major with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I love reading Fantasy novels especially, but I treasure any book with great ideas, lovable characters, and an immersive story line. I have one older sister, four younger brothers, and one younger sister. The oldest is twenty-two years older than the youngest. I love the opportunity this provides me to help my mom take care of my youngest siblings and just enjoy being with them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because in the darkest moments of my life the only one who could rescue me and bring light back into my life was my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because in the happiest times of my life, the truth that has been restored in His church fills my soul with joy, hope, and purpose. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is God's Son He lived, died, and lived again for me and I know that He speaks to His prophets today. I know that the living prophet today was called of God and that we will be blessed as we obey his counsel, because it comes from the Lord. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon makes me happy.

How I live my faith

As a single college student living away from home, I live my faith by attending my meetings, studying the scriptures and praying every day. Recently I've been asked to teach the women in our congregation once a month in one of the Sunday meetings. This was slightly daunting to me, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to interact with these wonderful women and learn from them as I strive to teach them correct principles. I try to live my faith in everything I do, from praying for help with my homework to making time to listen to the people around me.
