Hi I'm Tamara

I help people feel better, I'm a Physical Therapist Assistant, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, Body Pump and Body Flower, BYU grad, best chocolate chip cookie baking, Zumba dancing, foreign cuisine cooking, Spanish and Portuguese speaking, world traveling, and picture taking, single woman in the great state of Texas!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. There is no single moment when I realized that I truly believed what my parents taught me. My conversion has been a lifelong process of seeing the goodness, happiness, and richness that has been afforded to me as I try to live the life that Jesus Christ set as an example. The best way I know to be happy is to loose myself and serve others. I follow His restored gospel because I know that God lives and has a plan for me. I know that Joseph Smith was the chosen prophet to restore Christ's church. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and contains answers to any question or problem that comes up in our day to day experiences. Since graduating college, my testimony has become my own and molded me into the person that I am. I used to be more shy and stayed clear of change. My dad has described me as having a quiet boldness. As I try to be more Christ-like, change is not as scary as it used to be and I have learned to be more bold and embrace it. I know I am a daughter of God, who loves me, and I have an incredible amount of worth, as do all of His children who live and have ever lived on this earth.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday School class especially for individuals preparing to enter the temple. Every month I go with another woman in my congregation and visit 3 other women assigned to us. We share a spiritual thought and offer service. It is a nice way to make sure everyone is cared for and loved. I also live my faith by trying to offer acts of kindness and service to those that cross my path in any situation I am in. I pray each day to recognize those kinds of opportunities.
