Hi I'm Katie

I am from in Northern California. I grew up in a loving LDS home. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working towards earning my bachelor degree in 2D-art. I love camping, swimming, dancing, art (of course) music, and many other things. There are just so many things to do and love.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Latter-day saint (aka mormon) my whole life. I grew up in an LDS home. Growing up in the church has been a great blessing to me. At a young age I was taught how to live a virtuous life. Like everyone else, I've had trials in my life. Some small, some quite large. But what sets me apart from a lot of people is how I choose to view them. I see them as a blessing. I am human however and do not always see the positive. Sometimes I will look at a trial and say "why me?". But I've slowly learned to be grateful for all of life's bumps in the road. Without them, I certainly would not be nearly as strong as I am today. Every now and then i look back on my life and say "wow. I can't believe I made it through. Look at how much stronger I am because of it!" Through all of that I know that there is only one reason I was able to survive such trials. Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Savior. My light guiding me down the pathway of life. I am grateful to be a member of his chuch and to be able to partake of all the many blessings of his gospel. I am proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

How do I put this into words. It's not easy for me to explain. I've never been good with words. I try to live my faith everyday in the things I do. At school I try to share my beliefs with friends and try to be a good example. I listen to things they say and respect their beliefs. When I see someone sitting alone, I go sit by them and ask how they're doing. I like to help brighten other's days. I know what it is like to feel alone and I don't want anyone else to feel that. I want them to feel Christs love for them. I want them to know they are never alone. I love to see the smiles on their faces and the light in their eyes when they come to know and love Christ. I love painting pictures of LDS Temples. Friends and teachers will ask me what I'm working on. This gives me the opportunity to share my beliefs with them. To show them what it is that brings me joy and peace; Christ. It is my way of sharing the gospel.
