Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon and I love it! My little daughter took this picture

About Me

My wife and I have been married 23 years and we have five kids and a good, good life. We live in Idaho and, except for the winter months, we love it! We like winter but it seems way too loooong here in Idaho. At least where we live. Anyway, I served a mission in New England in the mid 80's and I currently have a son serving in the Iowa, Des Moines mission. He's a great kid and he loves the gospel of Jesus Christ, as do I. I'm so proud of him. I have a testimony of the True Gospel of Christ as it has been restored by the Lord through the Prophet Joseph Smith. There's a saying from the scriptures that says something like, "By their fruits ye shall know them", which means you can learn a lot about somebody or some group by looking at what they've done. That being said, I challenge you to look into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints and see what good they do around the world. If you do so with the right spirit you will see their good works and may have a desire to become a part of it. Call the missionaries in your area to find out more.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was raised by caring parents who love the Lord and taught me the gospel of Christ. I think I always believed, but when I was 18 I knew I needed to find out for myself if the things I had been taught, as they pertain to the church, were true. I remember the feeling I had as the Spirit bore witness to me that they were indeed true. It was such a clam peaceful feeling. It was great! I've felt that same Spirit several times through out my life since, reconfirming to me what I already know. I love the gospel and especially the Lord for all that he has done for me in my life.

How I live my faith

I'm currently the Priest Quorum adviser, teaching the 16-18 year old young men about the gospel and the Aaronic Priesthood which they hold. I love it. I've got a son in the quorum so that makes it even better for me. They're a great group of young men and they are smart about the gospel. I enjoy teaching them each week.
