Hi I'm Debbie

I grew up in Oakland, CA. We raised 4 children in OR and AZ. I now work fulltime and attend school. I am a Mormon.

About Me

We raised two girls and two boys. We loved hiking on the Oregon coast and in the mountains. We raised a garden, canned, quilted, and had many good times together. Now we live in Arizona, the children are grown, and most are married. We have 4 grandchildren living with their parents in CT and NC. I work full time with doctoral students at University of Phoenix and go to school at night finishing my bachelor's degree. Life is busy and good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was raised in a good LDS home and began living the tenants of the gospel from a young age. I have a strong testimony that the teachings of the gospel are true, Christ's church is restore again to the earth, and that we can return again to live with our Father in Heaven. Families are more loving, thoughtful, and kind when living and applying the principles of Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through hard work, trying to be self-reliant, improving my education, loving my family, and serving others. I have taught children, youth, and adults the messages of Christ throughout my life. This has brought me joy and has increased my knowledge and skills at the same tme. I learned to make bread, piece a quilt, cook, teach music, serve others, work, and play through my callings and activities in the church.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Debbie
Yes, husband and wife can be together forever! What comfort and security this knowledge brings to a family as they face trials together. It is important to develop family ties because they will carry with us into eternity. I believe our deceased relatives cheer us on and hope we will improve on the legacy they left with us. Our duty is to build strong family relationships that will reach across the generations. In the temples, we can complete ordinances for our extended families. Our family is sealed together for eternity. I am supremely grateful for this blessing. Show more Show less
