Hi I'm Becky

I'm a mom, I love to read, garden and run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I love to read, study Spanish, run, garden, cook, and ski. I love to watch the sun rise and set. I love the mountains, ocean, and sky. I love family dinners and playing the piano. I love words and beautiful language. My favorite novels are "Anna Karenina" and "Crossing to Safety". I love Robert Frost's poetry. I have run the Boston Marathon and climbed the Grand Teton.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon Church and as a young girl I knew in my heart my Heavenly Father loved me. I have read the Book of Mormon many times. I love the words, I feel their power and I know they are true. The Lord has been with me as I have raised my children. I have had many answers to prayers and am grateful for the peace and safety the gospel of Jesus Christ offers. My membership in this Church blesses my life every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending Church every week and partaking of the Sacrament. This allows me the opportunity to remember Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. I try to be more like him by loving my family, my neighbors and reaching out to those in need. I serve in the temple weekly and I am also a part-time missionary, teaching English and gospel lessons to members of the Latino community.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe the family is central to our Heavenly Father's Plan. We were sent to earth to be a member of a family. My greatest joy and treasure is my family. It is a privilege and blessing to be a mother and I am grateful for my husband, six children and twelve grandchildren. We believe that family life continues after we die and that families can be together forever.    Show more Show less
