Hi I'm Phil

I'm a son, a brother. I'm a convert. I'm married to my best friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a born and raised Californian. I work as a policy advocate for a large national non-profit. I was recently married in May 2011 to my wonderful fiancee who I met at our young single adult ward. I attended Sacramento State University where I double majored in Government and History. My interests in politics stems back to my childhood, so I am truly working in a field that has always been a childhood dream. I am one of three sons of Chinese immigrants.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I wanted a better life. A life without drama or strife. I wanted to be happy. I wanted to raise children with a wife that had the same morals and standards. I wanted to be emulate the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. His compassion and empathy for all of God's children is what I hope to model in my life.

How I live my faith

I serve as our YSA Wards Family Home Evening co-chair. My FHE Committee has been asked to develop activities and lessons for our Ward each and every Monday. Many of our members are away from family or living with roommates or alone. Our FHE is a way for them to spend Monday's with their Ward Family. I volunteer as a Big Brother of Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento. I am engaged to a wonderful woman and we do everything together!
