Hi I'm Alec

I grew up in California and now I'm going on my mission. Yep, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Alec and I love to swim, go to the beach, hang out with all of my friends whom I love very very much! I also enjoy playing the piano and the guitar and am currently studying to become a physical therapist.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and at first, was only going through the motions and doing what everyone else around me was doing. As a teenager, I really started to wonder what I really believed. As I started paying more attention to the standards that Mormons live by I began to realize that they were there only to make us happier. Now, as I am just about to serve a mission, I look back and can say that being a member of this church has blessed me, and has made me very happy.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I enjoy attending church with my family. I love going hometeaching with other members of my ward, as it gives me an opportunity to serve others, and to get to know them a little better. I also love going on various trips with the other youth. Some of the activities we have had in the past include mountain biking across Catalina Island, going Kayaking, and also many others. Each and every day I try to do my best to up hold the standards that I have been taught, and to encourage others to do the same.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Alec
There are lots of things that have helped me to understand that there really is a God. I really enjoy taking walks outside in my free time. When I am on those walks, some of the things I notice are the trees, different flowers, and more simply, the earth which we live on. When I was still in the process of finding out for myself whether or not God really existed, the earth itself had one of the biggest influences on me. I would always think to myself "how could all of this just magically appeared?" Or, "there is no way that anyone, other than a God of some sort could have created such a beautiful, amazing, and wonderful place." After a little bit more time and research, I came to the conclusion that there had to be a God. The scriptures really helped provide the evidence that I required in order to know that myself.
