Hi I'm Charlie

I live in Indiana. I like cows. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Charlie. I am 21 years old, I grew up in the church, and am preparing to serve a mission. I am deaf, and am learning how to play guitar and piano. I like food, dancing, and long walks on the beach.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because, though I have been raised in it, I do believe that we receive direct revelation from him, and that he continues to give us promises of blessings, and that he has given us the authority to act in His name to spread His gospel abroad to all the world, so that we may all live together in our families again. And we're just plain awesome.

How I live my faith

I strive each day to uphold the standards of personal and moral cleanliness and purity and worthiness, so that I may hopefully let my light shine to inspire others to be better as well.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

The Restoration was needed because after the original Apostles died or were killed off, there was no one with the proper Priesthood authority to lead the Christian churches, and they all started straying from the truth of the gospel. While the Bible has indeed survived these last thousands of years by some miracle, it did not go completely unharmed, as many changes were made when it was copied over and over again. Many plain and precious truths were left out, whether intentionally by men with wicked intent, or by men with limited understanding of the glorious gospel. Indeed, there are many truths still in there, and many churches and religions have parts of the truth, but the Lord knew that this would happen, and so He raised up a people on the American continent during the time the bible covers the people of Jerusalem. This people, left their own record of their testimony of Christ, which was to be revealed in the latter days as another testament of Jesus Christ, as The Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
