Hi I'm Tyler Svedin

I like stories, turtles are awesome, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born near Salt Lake City, Utah. I am currently serving a mission for the church in the Jacksonville, Florida Mission. I have absolutely loved my mission so far! I have met so many amazing people and made some really wonderful friends. Before I left for my mission, I spent some time working in a small book store. I had a great time working there, I love books! One of my dreams in life is to be an author. I've got some great story ideas, I just hope to be able to get them published! I think that would be awesome. I am probably the most easily amused person in the world. I can be entertained by nearly anything. One of my favorite things to do is to spend time with family and friends. There is no greater feeling than being with those you love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family that was very active in the church. I remember going to church and learning about Jesus Christ from a very young age. Although I have been a part of the church since childhood, I was never really understood how real the gospel is. I always looked at church as just another part of our lives. Another thing we fit into our weekly schedule. It never really meant all that much to me. However, as I have grown older and faced bigger challenges, I have learned that life without the gospel would be almost unbearable. I have learned that the gospel of Jesus Christ is not just another part of our lives, but it is what our lives should be centered on. I know that Jesus Christ not only sacrificed so that we can be forgiven for our sins, but also so we can be free from our sins. Christ's grace helps us to turn our weaknesses into strengths; and through Him, we can become who we need to become. I know this because I have experienced it in my life. I still have a lot that I need to work on, but I know that with His help, I can always continue to change.

How I live my faith

Although life can be very difficult at times, I try to find joy in the journey. There is always something good to see in every situation. Every trial we face in life is meant to teach us something. I strive to remember this and find ways to learn from every situation. I have a really long ways to go, but I know that through daily scripture study and prayer, I can reach the potential the Lord sees in me.
