Hi I'm Greg

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father and grandfather and make my living as a software engineer. A few years ago I became an RN and worked briefly as an ICU nurse in that most gratifying of professions. I'm a ham radio operator, call sign KE7HT, and enjoy making radio contact with people thousands of miles away. I enjoy shooting any type of gun, but particularly like the challenge of varmint hunting from a bench rest. I enjoy tennis, pickle ball and bicycling. Years ago I earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I've lived a couple years in both Spain and Italy and still speak pretty fluent Spanish. Politically, I lean toward Libertarianism. My favorite movie is "Life is Beautiful", an Italian film about courage during the holocaust.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ's church is the organization, on earth, through which God provides guidance to us, his children, about how to be happy. Knowledge of his plan, the gospel, gives me an eternal perspective on who I am and the purpose of this life. It gives me hope for continued happy association with my loved ones after this life ends. As I strive to follow Jesus Christ, I enjoy great peace and happiness in my day-to-day life. When I serve my fellow-man, I feel the approval of my Father in Heaven. This is a warm, peaceful feeling of happiness. The church provides many opportunities to help others and experience this happy feeling. Finally, through his church, Jesus Christ teaches with clarity who He is and what His relationship is to me. The more I know and understand about Christ, the more I am able to love him as my elder brother and appreciate and worship him as my Lord and Savior.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday school class of 15 and 16 year-olds. I try to remain an active and positive influence in the lives of my children and grandchildren. I'm working hard to develop more kindness and become a better listener.
