Hi I'm Devon

I'm a mom. I'm an Air Force wife. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was married in March of 2011 in the Portland Oregon Temple. I work in advertising at an university student newspaper. I have two years left studying political science. I love to ride with my husband on his motorcycle. I love to read. I love to exercise daily and run in community races.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ because I want to follow in his path and be like him. I love knowing that my savior paid for the sins of the world, and through Him, we can have eternal life. By following Christ's example, we can become the person our Heavenly Father wants us to become. The church has brought me great joy in knowing that my family will be eternal through following His teachings.

How I live my faith

I love to read my scriptures every day and study the words of our prophets. Recently, I taught the young children, ages 2-3 and love their sweet spirits and curiosity. I was amazed about how much they understood about our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I love to do my visiting teaching every month and talk with each of the sisters I visit. I talk with them about their lives and the gospel. It's a great way to see how much the gospel changes peoples lives.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Devon
God will never leave his people. He sends prophets to teach the gospel and lead His people. The world is a very confusing place, and sometimes hard to know what is true and right. Heavenly Father loves all of his children, and sends prophets to lead direct us, the same as prophets did in the Old and New Testament. When we listen and do as the prophet says, we are listening to our Heavenly Father and will be led as to what we should do to be happier and have more peace. Show more Show less
