Hi I'm Whitney

I grew up in England. I taught english in Ukraine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in England and raised in England, France, and Germany. At 14 my family moved to the United States. I am now a college student and a Communications major. I love it! I love learning. It always makes me feel like i'm accomplishing something. I love languages, sports, reading, music, and anything really.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon. I never thought too much about it. I was always curious about other religions and even attended some. But i always felt more at home at the Mormon church. I never associated that feeling with truth, but i knew it felt good. Then i was challenged, things were hard, and i had to figure things out conclusively. There was a power outage and i had nothing to do. I grabbed my Book of Mormon and a flashlight and started reading. Next thing i knew i could not put it down. I read and read and read. It became alive to me. This book i had read time and time before was different. No voice, no vison, no burning feeling. I just knew. And i still know it's true.

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer. I feel so good. I have done tons of volunteer thing, especially as a student. But really the best way to live your faith is in the small day to day things. Smile at people. Hold doors open. Say hello to people you don't know. In the church i help recognize the womens birthday's so that we can share them together and feel united. I have also taught children and adults.
